We unveil our inner light with Reiki and our task now is to move closer and closer to it, until we identify with this light as our True Self - the self that is often hidden behind our human aspects, our stories of being this person with that job and this family and that history. Our True Self is the ancient spark of the one soul - the embodiment of source energy, having an experience as this precious human being. The more we connect to Reiki, the more we realise a truth deeper than language can take us - that within us all lies a primordial consciousness that comes before form. No matter how hard we try, we can not get behind it because it is the root of everything. This background layer of energy is what everything in the Universe is comprised of, and it is our very essence. Reiki gets stronger each time we connect to the energy because we come closer and closer into harmony with it - we begin to vibrate as this true primordial consciousness, even while wearing a human suit disguised as a separate being. We unzip our edges and release into Unity. Beyond teaching, treating, or attuning others, this is the absolute aim of Usui’s legacy.
