Belonging
There is nothing in this Universe that we don’t belong to.
We are each an embodied Universe, our face an expression of the singularity. We look at each other as a consciousness that sees out of many eyes - the one behind the many.
We reflect joy, sorrow, warmth, desire, longing, a hope of belonging to each other.
Sometimes we’re present enough to catch a glimpse of that One in the background. It’s the One we truly long to Be. The one we long for.
We want to know ourselves as the One, so we look for ‘the one’. Yet all the time, we were that. The One is all of us. It shines back through every reflection. It emanates from every pair of eyes if you know how to look. From some eyes it pierces through all the veils to connect.
The Tao Te Ching says ‘When you realise that nothing is lacking, the whole world belongs to you’. In other words, when you realise you are the whole world there is nothing lacking.
We belong inside this moment. We belong to life. If you’ve been on a quest to find yourself, know that you will only be found here - right here in the now. That’s why it’s the only place you belong.
Here in the now is the home of Reiki. It’s the Mother of All Things - the energy of pure consciousness. It was called the Tao in ancient China. When I’ve described Reiki to wise, Star Wars loving friends they understand. “So it’s the Force. I get that.” Modern physicists would call it the Unified Field. As Mikao Usui taught it, Reiki is Buddha Consciousness. It lives in us all. It seeks to balance, to re-harmonise whatever is chaotic. This is the spectrum the Universe moves across - chaos into order and back to chaos. Creation, destruction. Inhale, exhale. Yin, Yang. Life is experienced through duality yet Reiki is the unity behind these two, the mother of the twins. The original energy. The beginning and the end. The zero. The Ace. The One. And it’s been here, in the present moment, all along. Rei means soul and Ki means life. The soul of life is here, always available for you, as you. Reiki is your essence, your true nature. It’s the way of life.
