I have some exciting news to share with you!

You know how sometimes you have a dream and it seems rather far-fetched, so it just sits on the periphery of your vision? Just drifting out there in wild space, like the moon, orbiting your awareness. You hardly think about it, but still, it floats past every now and then creating a little sparkle in your chest…

I’ve had one of those orbiting dreams for a while. Some of you might remember that I briefly had a London studio which opened in January of 2020. It was a haven during the pandemic but couldn’t last much beyond, and we closed the Temple of Alchemies exactly three years ago. Since then, living in the glorious healing lands of Sussex, I’ve had this bone-deep desire to root down here with a healing space that fits the woman I’ve grown into. My dream was for a wagon planted out in nature that could be the witchy home for my Reiki practice. A little space full of big magic. A place that carries us back home to the sacred inner sanctum of deep peace. A magical place to hold us on our soul journeys.

Off and on for the last couple of years, I’ve looked at studios and office spaces, deciding the wagon idea wasn’t exactly practical. Where would it go? How would I do this? Too many unknowns. Nothing was the right fit, but this dream kept circling me like a distant star. Then, a few months ago, feeling that inner prompt to look again, I visited a delightful co-working space just outside of Lewes in the gorgeous Sussex countryside, hoping they had a studio available. Maria, who runs Spithurst Hub, showed me around the flowering gardens with the idyllic pond and fire pits, and told me they didn’t have any space free. Then she pointed to the curious mint green shepherd’s hut off to the side, telling me it was the workspace of a local Herbalist. She said if I wanted to have one made and plant it there too, I’d be very welcome. My heart nearly leapt out of my chest. I couldn’t help but squeal out a high-pitched yes to her invitation while my insides bounced up and down.

Not even 24 hours later, I’m on my way to meet with a man who makes these huts. Its early August and the late summer light over the Downs is making the land as joyful outside as I feel inside. The sudden speed of this manifestation is taking my breath away and I wonder if I am perhaps just high on the idea. The excitement of it had a sound, a buzz in my ear. This is exactly the kind of thing I wish I could ring my Dad to talk over, but he passed away sixteen years ago, on the 16th of November. I looked at the sky and prayed to him to show me a sign. Should I do this? Should I leap?

About half an hour after this prayer, I’m standing in the timber frame of a semi-built hut, talking the idea through with Rob, the local hut maker. He opens up his diary to tell me when the next build slot is available. “We would complete the build on the 16th of November.” OMG.

SO it’s happening! It has happened! This magical little healing hut on wheels, with its inner fire and sparkling energy, has been born! On top of all the other alignments, can you believe they began building her on Samhain (Witches’ New Year)? Actual magic. She was delivered and I’ve been getting her ready this week! So many birds have come by to greet her...from giant red kites sweeping across the sky to tiny robins bouncing around the ground and all the ducks shaking their tails in delight. Honestly, it feels like she’s always been here. In just a few weeks I’ll be opening the bright pink door of Wildish Healing and I can’t wait to share this magic with you. I’ll be offering Reiki & Sound Healing treatments, intimate Reiki Courses (for one or two people) by the fire, mentoring and Reiki refreshers, and Sound Bathing journeys to enjoy solo or with a friend. I can’t wait.

It’s been a wild ride following joy’s lead. It is the north star you can count on to guide you. Peace is the way, joy is the guide. May you follow the joy of your heart to all of the wild places it dreams up!
